Instructions for WinAmp  (Windows only)   free WinAmp
 In PDF (with graphics)

  1. Download WinAmp from WinAmp.com
     On the download page... click the button to download the "Free" version.  Then click "OK" to save file.
  2. "Save to location" comes up... click "OK" to save to desktop (or create a "Downloads" folder to put it to on your C drive).
  3. Double-click the file once it is downloaded - to start the install process.
  4. Read, then click "I Agree" on license agreement.
  5. The first box of "check marks" comes up eventually... click next  (don't uncheck any unless you know what you are doing! :)
  6. Choose "Next" to install in default location.
  7. A second "check box" comes up... uncheck everything except start menu group, desktop icon and associate with playlist and pls files.
  8. Select your internet connection type in the first drop-down box then click "Install."
  9. User Information is optional.  We recommend that you uncheck all boxes except "Do not ask again..." 
  10. Click "Later"
  11. Start WinAmp by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (may start automatically)
  12. Click Here to listen!  or to enter the address manually...

Click on the wavy-line box in the upper left hand corner of the WinAmp window.  Click on "Play URL"   Type the address below.
http://harbourlight.servemp3.com:4000/listen.pls  or http://harbourlightradio.servemp3.com/harbourlight for HQ stream.

Click the "play" button on the WinAmp player.  It should start playing Harbour Light Online!

  • Instructions for VLC Player (Windows/Mac/Linux etc) free VLC
    These instructions are for Windows.  Instructions for other OS's will be appreciated.
  1. Download VLC Player from Videolan.com
    On the download page click the appropriate download for your operating system then click OK to save to location (desktop is fine for beginners)
    Once the file is downloaded double click on it to begin installation process.
  2. Click "Yes" to install
  3. Click "I Agree" on license agreement
  4. Uncheck all check boxes except "Desktop shortcut," "Mozilla plugin" and "ActiveX plugin."  Click next
  5. Click "OK" to install in the default location.
  6. Click "Finish"
  7. VLC player should start  (if it does not, double click it on your desktop)
  8. Click "File" then "Open Network Stream"
  9. Click button by HTTP/HTTPS/FTP/MMS and enter this address in the blank by "URL."
    harbourlight.servemp3.com:4000/listen.pls or     harbourlightradio.servemp3.com/harbourlight for a HQ WMA stream
  10. "Harbour Light Online!" should be displayed.  After a few seconds of buffering, you should hear the Harbour Light!
     
  • Instructions for MAC using iTunes
  1. Launch iTunes (Finder > Applications > iTunes)
  2. Select Advanced > Open Stream
  3. Type the URL (or copy and paste this): http://harbourlight.worthwhile.com:8000  or  http://harbourlightradio.servemp3.com/harbourlight for HQ stream) and click OK You should see a new entry in "Music" entitled "Harbour Light Online!" and it should start playing. It will also remain in your library, so the next time you start iTunes, just double-click it to tune in!
