Dear fellow Pilgrims,
May God's grace and peace be yours in the
fullest measure!
We are very near the end of this age.
The apostle Peter admonishes us "...gird
up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to
the end for the grace that is to be brought unto
you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As
obedient children, not fashioning yourselves
according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
But as he which hath called you is holy, so be
ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because
it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”
1Peter 1:13-16
Today
has been a big day for Richard and
Francina and family. A small army of volunteers
descended upon them for a Carriacou style "house
raising!" At 7AM, they began
the arduous work of casting the floor of the
house the Lord is giving them!
Neighbours and friends
provided food and drink for the workmen.
This is a tremendous milestone for them.
Praise
the Lord for safety and for good speed as
they worked.
It took
nearly the entire day largely because
they were doing
most of the work by hand.
Concrete work is not easy
work!
Praise the Lord for answering prayer regarding
the Steels and Murphys!
The Steels have all their support and
their work permit exemptions have been issued by
the Grenada
Department of Labour.
Pray that their house will be
sold soon and that God will give them
strength for their move to Carriacou.
The Murphys have already
sold their house and are now literally
“on the road.”
Pray for safety as they travel and for
good meetings.
Their container is packed and ready to
ship.
Pray for the rest of their support to come in
quickly.
The Word of God is the only source of the
knowledge of God.
We must get our minds ready for action
lest we be swept into the contemporary stream of
the broad way.
Now more than ever before the Devil is
using “psychological warfare” against God's
people.
One of the most subtle and dangerous tools he
uses continues to be “Contemporary
Christian music” which secretly
plants the seeds of disobedience and
rebellion thereby negating the purifying effect
of Scripture on the mind and heart
and will - if it continues to maturity - reap a
harvest of destruction.
Every thought - word
or song! - must be brought into captivity
to the obedience of Christ.
Walking in true holiness is arduous work but the
light it produces shines before men to the Glory
of God!
Thank you for your prayers for us! Thank you
for your support! Continue to pray that God
will use His Word like a beam of pure light in
the darkness that will cut through the distorted
psychedelic lights of speculation and lofty
thoughts cast against holiness and the true
knowledge of God!

Dear Fellow
Saints in Christ Jesus,
Greetings in the name of our
soon-coming Saviour and King, the Lord, Jesus Christ!
For I testify that according to their
ability, and beyond their ability, they gave of
their own accord, begging us with much urging for
the favor of participation in the support of the
saints, and this, not as we had expected, but they
first gave themselves to the Lord and to us by the
will of God. 2 Corinthians 8:3-5
We praise the Lord for the Men
for Missions team members that
was here last month. They finished the work
on the basement of the missions house! The only
thing that remains is to install the cabinets which
have been donated but are not here yet. We are
grateful to each team member for his
fellowship in this work by helping us to
provide housing for the Murphys. Continue to pray
for the Murphys as they travel presenting the work
of the Harbour Light to God's people and trusting
the Lord to provide for them to come help us.
Have you ever
noticed that people love “fellowship?” That is why
the world is full of it – parties, clubs,
socializing, support groups, church(!?)
and more. Someone once said that socializing is when
people get together to share the things of this
world and fellowship is when people get together to
share the things of Heaven.
Christian
fellowship is one of the sweetest blessings
believers can share with one another. It is
something that they have received from God as a
result of hearing and believing the Gospel and so it
is a proper and blessed outgrowth of their special
fellowship with Him. There are many these days who
say they have fellowship with God but their life
demonstrates fellowship with the world, not God. God
warns us about having having fellowship with or
participating in the things that are “of the world.”
I am amazed that it seems so hard for so many
Christian people to recognize when they are
fellowshipping with the world. They adopt nearly
every dark aspect of the world – sounds, dress,
habits, entertainments – add a little “Jesus” to it
and think God just has to be thrilled with them
giving Him so much publicity! It matters a great
deal to God whom
and what we “fellowship” with. Saying
we have fellowship with God does not make it true.
If we say we have fellowship with God and yet keep
on walking in the darkness of the sounds, dress,
habits & entertainments of this world, we lie and
are not practicing the truth! But if we walk in the
light as He Himself is in the light, we can and will
have true fellowship with one another and with our
Saviour, Jesus Christ.
We
have been encouraged recently by some special
friends coming over to Carriacou to fellowship with
us; to share their own testimonies about how the
Lord has used the ministry of the Harbour Light in
their lives; to share with us the testimonies of
others who have received God's blessings through the
programmes. They exemplified the passage quoted
above because they first gave themselves to the Lord
and then to us. We were moved by their earnestness
to come and their love shown to us but most of all
they blessed us with their love for and tenderness
toward the Lord of the foundation of our fellowship,
Jesus Christ!
Thank
you so much for your
faithful fellowship with us by your prayers,
encouragement and support so we can by God's grace
and blessing continue...

The grace of the

fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.

Staff News:
The
Louises are praising the Lord for recent
blessings. The Lord has provided a house for them to
rent in the village of Belvedere where Jennifer grew
up. They have completed the moving process and have
just taken up residence there. They desire your
prayers that they be a light in that community.
John
McPherson has been working hard on getting our
standby generator back in shape after some bolts
came loose, broke and sent the fan spinning into a
fairly new radiator. The radiator was damaged beyond
repair and a new radiator had to be ordered. Pray
for him as he works
hard at keeping
the equipment working well.
The
Little's house project is coming along, praise the
Lord! They should be casting the floor before the
end of the month, Lord willing. They are so grateful
to the Lord and for those the Lord has used to meet
their needs. Continue to pray for the strength to do
the work and God's provision along the way. Thank
you!
The
Steels are working toward arriving in Carriacou
sometime in March! Pray that their house will sell
and that the Lord will strengthen them for packing
and moving. They served the Lord in Antigua at our
sister station (Caribbean Radio Lighthouse -1160KHz)
for several years some time ago so they are looking
forward to being among the beautiful people of the
Caribbean once again!
The Harbour Light Christian School is in need of
teachers and additional facilities for next school
year. Please pray for God's provision for these
needs.

Dear Beloved
in Christ,
Grace to you and peace
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ! We rejoice
that there is laid up for you treasures in Heaven
because of your faithful, prayerful support of
this ministry this past year. Thank you! We praise
the Lord for enabling so many in various ways to have a part
in this ministry. To God be
the Glory, great things He has done – and will do!!
We
are blessed this week as another Men for Missions
team arrives led by Wayne and Jane Camfield. I believe this
is the 14th team they have brought down to help
us! They will be doing several projects while they are here
but the main project is to finish the basement apartment for
the Murphys. The only thing left to do when they leave, Lord
willing, will be to put in kitchen & bathroom cabinets.
Those have been donated by a Christian man in the USA and
when they arrive in a few weeks, he will be coming to
install them, Lord willing. It is amazing to think that the
“Mission House” project is nearly complete. There is no way
humanly speaking that we could have afforded such a
building. However it was the Lord's will and He has
literally moved “mountains” to accomplish it – from a
landmark defeat for the IRS in US probate court to
unsolicited gifts of interested people and more than a dozen
mission teams! Lord willing, it will provide long term
housing for three Harbour Light staff families. It is a
simple, practical and solid building. “Thank you” to all of
you who have had a part in it! (the basement is the
unpainted section below the two white levels)
Thank you for your
prayers for the Louis family. They had a very encouraging
and restful visit to St. Lucia. Linus was able to preach in
a New Years conference and witness again to his aging
mother. Please pray for her salvation as well as the
salvation of other family members. The Ramdhanie's arrived
back safely from their trip home for Christmas. “Mama C”
(Arlene Cornelius) had a wonderful time in Dominica visiting
my brother, Tony, and his wife, Martha, and their 7
children. She returns
today from her visit to Antigua and my brother, Jonathan &
his wife Becky.
The Steel's
are praising the Lord for providing for their support and
have been cleared to leave the USA to join us in late March,
Lord willing. Pray for them as they make final preparations
to come. Continue to pray for the Murphys. They are now on
full-time deputation and are praying that God will bring
them here later this year. Thank you for praying for both
couples. We are greatly in need of these dear people!
May the
Lord bless you in your service for Him this year and help
each of us to stand firmly on the Word of God and to abide
in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and
not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming. It is “the
last hour” so let us be more diligent than ever to be
faithfully...

Dear Christian Friends,
Behold,
a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son,
and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being
interpreted is, God with us.
Matthew 1:23
Grace to you and peace from God our
Father and the Lord Jesus Christ! This
month marks 16 years of broadcasting the Gospel to the
Windwards. We praise the Lord for His gracious provision
and protection all along the way. God who is Lord of
all – including history – gives to us an unusual opportunity
to display His glory and share His love to people at this
time of the year. People are more open to the Gospel at this
time of the year than they are at other times. Christmas
music is some of the most beautiful in our music library!
That is why we do not
limit ourselves to playing the music or
message of the incarnation to just this time of year.
We play Christmas music the first Sunday evening of each
month and the subject of the incarnation is always welcome.
As
the Murphys and Steels make preparations to leave the USA to
“come over and help us,” they have asked that we pray that
the Lord will send along just the right buyers for their
houses. The Murphys have meetings scheduled through June
2008. Pray that God will provide for them that they will be
able to come in the summer of 2008. Pray for the Steels as
they continue their plans to be here in March or April. We
are really looking forward to their coming and their much
needed help. The Louis family will spend
the Christmas holiday with family in St. Lucia,
Lord
willing. Please pray for their safety and for the
salvation of Linus's mother and other family members. The
Littles are praising the Lord for providing for their house
project abundantly above all they could ask or think – just
as He promised! Thank you for your prayers as they move
ahead in the construction of a much needed house for their
family. The Ramdhanie's will spend the
Christmas holiday at home in Trinidad. Mama C
is planning to travel to Dominica and Antigua to visit
her children and grandchildren. Pray for safety as
she travels. The rest of us plan
to remain here to “hold the fort.”
Thank
you so much for your fellowship, support and prayers
for this work of God in
Carriacou. The Lord was zealous to accomplish the
incarnation and we are zealous to remind people of it.
We have many special
programmes planned for this month that we trust will turn
listeners attention from the clamor and clatter of
commercialism, to a fresh appreciation for God's special
gift to mankind in the person &
work of Jesus Christ! He is the One who commanded
that we keep...

Dear Friends in Christ,
Grace, mercy and peace
to you from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
And he said, LORD God of Israel, there
is no God like thee, in heaven above, or on earth
beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy
servants that walk before thee with all their heart.
1 Kings 8:23
I
have been reading through the books of the Kings
recently and God has spotlighted a truth to my heart
which I would like to try to share with you. Have you
ever noticed that for every king there is a commendation
or a condemnation? Something like... “he did that which
was good in the sight of the Lord...” or “he did that
which was evil in the sight of the Lord....” In
addition, there are two individuals God primarily uses
to compare the rest of the kings to. God compares the
“good” kings to King David and the “bad” kings to King
Jeroboam. King David we know well. He was a man after
God's own heart. He wholeheartedly followed the Lord. On
the other hand, Jeroboam was a servant whom God elevated
to be a sovereign. God told him he would be king over
the ten tribes of Israel but he did not trust God to
work it out. He worked things out for himself. Once he
was king, he was afraid that the people would stay in
Judah when they went to worship God at the Temple. So
once again he did things his own way. He made two golden
calves, appointed his own priests and sanctified his own
day for worship. God warned him of his deviant worship
but he did not repent so God cursed him and his house.
Jeroboam's wholehearted disobedience affected nearly all
the kings after him. Over and over God's indictment of
the kings is... “he did that which was evil in the sight
of the LORD; he departed not from all the sins of
Jeroboam who made Israel to sin.” This sin tainted even
the “good” kings who “did that which was right in the
sight of the LORD, yet not like David his father.
Howbeit the high places were not taken away...” Those
“high places” appear to have been a temporary place of
true worship in the absence of the Temple but now became
a snare to the Israelites because Jeroboam built “houses
on the high places and made priests of the lowest of the
people which were not the sons of Levi.” In other words,
he built “worship centers” based on a bit of true
worship but primarily around what he devised in his own
heart. This deviant worship became so commonplace among
God's people that even God's enemies thought it was God
ordained!! When Rabshakeh came to besiege Jerusalem at
the command of the King of Assyria he chided the people
for their trust in God concluding that God would surely
not help them because their twenty-five-year-old King
Hezekiah had torn the high places down! On the contrary,
God was so delighted with Hezekiah's desire to do
“according to all that David his father did” (and angry
at Rabshakeh's defiance of God) that He sent His
destroying angel into the camp of the Assyrians. Then we
read those humorous words “and when they arose early in
the morning, they were all dead corpses!” The next king,
Manasseh, went right back to the sins of Jeroboam. Even
the major reforms of the eight-year-old king, Josiah,
and his wholeheartedness toward God could not turn the
“fierceness of the wrath of God” toward Judah because of
the wholeheartedness with which the twelve-year-old king
Manasseh compounded the sins of Jeroboam!
Can
you think of any “golden calves” (sacred cows) today?
I'm thinking of “contemporary” Christian music. Those
who use it do so because they are fearful that they will
“lose people” and so resort to their own methods to keep
them. This “sin of Jeroboam” so permeates Christianity
around the world today that most “Christian” people (and
many unsaved people) think it is something which God
approves of! Christian people have become so accustomed
to this “golden calf” that their ears are deaf to what
is clean, sound, godly Christian music and they cannot
discern whether a song has a rock beat or not (or don't
care)! Some Christians are doing “what is right in the
sight of the Lord” but do not wholeheartedly follow the
Lord by removing the “high places.” The “high places”
with their “golden calves” are but symptoms. The real
problem is in the heart. It will require the
wholeheartedness of a David or a Hezekiah or a Josiah to
take the necessary action to recognize the deviant
nature of the “golden calves,” tear them down and burn
them. But there are too many Manassehs and too few
Josiahs to appease the wrath of God now. This house of
“Christianity”is far from pleasing the Lord with this
deviant “worship” and they don't even know it!! Jesus
Himself said “Many will say to me in that day, Lord,
Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy
name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many
wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I
never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
(Mt. 7:22-23) Do you have any “golden calves” or “high
places” in your life? Will God give you his condemnation
or His commendation? Let us follow the Lord and worship
Him in the beauty of holiness through simple,
wholehearted obedience to His Word.

Dear fellow
believers in Jesus Christ,
Greetings!
I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the
Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of
revelation in the knowledge of Him. Ephesians 1:17
Thank you for
your continued prayer and support for God's work through the
Harbour Light. We
read your letters with great pleasure and thankfulness to
the Lord for all He is doing in your life through the
programs! What a
blessing it is to fill homes and hearts with such godly
programmes, Bible teaching, music, drama, and more!
We are planning another “Radio Bible Conference” for
the first full week in December.
We will be using messages from the Whetstone
Conference held at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church this past June
as well as messages from the 2007 Lighthouse Baptist
Fellowship Conference held at Grace Baptist Church in
Barbados this past July.
We have also begun work on our Christmas programming
and hope to have our 2007 Christmas Programme Guide ready to
mail out by the end of this month.
Please request a copy or look for it on line so you
won't miss out on any of our “Christmas gifts” to you!
The Little's
house project has slowed down for now. However, they
continue to “break stone” and in preparation for casting the
floor. They have
the block for the walls on site so once the floor is poured
they will be able to continue with God's help.
The owners of the place they are renting now would
like them moved out in the near future.
Pray that God will bless them with the finances they
need to continue and finish.
The Ramdhanies have settled in well to the routine
here and are a great blessing to us.
The Murphys have their “home on wheels” ready for
action. They have
acquired many items that they will need or that the Harbour
Light will need and may ship a container with these items in
the next few months.
Pray that God will send them the right buyer for
their house. Their
goal is to be doing full-time deputation this fall.
Their support level is nearly fifty percent.
Pray that God will direct them to those who He wants
to support them so they can come fulfill the ministry God
has given them here.
The Steels are currently “on the road” to visit and
present the Harbour Light to several churches and to
minister to and edify God's people by their testimony.
Their support level is now over the fifty percent
mark! They continue
to plan toward coming in early 2008.
You can watch the progress of both the Murphys and
Steels at our mission website,
www.everlastingarms.org
Thank you for
your prayers for us.
We need a spirit of wisdom from the Lord as we choose
programmes, interact with listeners and act as stewards of
the equipment, resources and air time God has given us.
Thank you for your encouragement and support!
The Lord is using His Word greatly in the hearts of
each one who tunes in – just as He promised He would! Many
of them contact us to tell how the Lord is using the
programmes in their lives to draw them closer to God.
They also express their sincere thankfulness and
appreciation to the Lord for raising up this beacon of light
to shine into their hearts and homes.
Their watch word is “Don't change!” (Don't
compromise) As we
grow in our knowledge of the Lord and His Word, the
programming will get cleaner and brighter to the Glory of
God!

Ephesians 1
Dear Friends,
Grace be multiplied to you and
peace from God and our Saviour, Jesus Christ! Pure
religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To
visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction,
and to
keep himself unspotted from the
world. (James 1:27)
We praise the Lord for the
many hours each day He gives us to be on the air proclaiming
the Name of Jesus Christ, the mission revealed in His name –
that of saving His people from their sins, and pressing the
claims of Christ upon the life each listener. Truly, we are
not our own, but His! Thank you very much for your part in
this vital work of God here in the Windward Islands!
The Murphys asked that we pray
for God's will in the sale of their home to a Christian
couple. This will enable them to be “on the road” full time
and (humanely speaking) make it possible for them to come
that much sooner. Pray that if Satan is somehow hindering
their coming that God will destroy the enemy's work so that
God's work can go forward. Pray for the Steels as well as
they make definite plans to be here by February of 2008 and
that their support will be provided by God in His wonderful
way.
The Littles continue the work
on their home in Mt. Pleasant. They have been working hard
to “break stone” and gather other materials to pour the
floor. It would be wonderful if they could be in their house
by the end of the year. Pray for God's provision for both
materials and labour. Pray for the Louises
as they have been having some (minor) health struggles.
“Mama C” (Arlene Cornelius) is doing well and keeping very
busy – thank you for praying for her. “It is well” with the
rest of us, by God's grace.
The
Lord called some long-time listeners from Trinidad to “come
over and help us!” Andrew and Lynda Ramdhanie are here for
about 9 months. Sister Lynda is a retired teacher and is
teaching at Harbour Light Christian Primary School. Brother
Andrew is a retired police officer. He is helping with
various maintenance needs. Praise the Lord for their desire
to serve the Lord in their retirement years!
I just received a letter from
a new listener who said “Many of the
things that I have learned, I have never heard or been
taught otherwise as most "teaching" and "preaching" nowadays
always seems to tend towards what you can get from God and
what you should give [in tithes and offerings]...” “How is
it that I can be assured of my faith...” “You guys use
mostly hymns on the station, why is that? Is there a problem
with other gospel genres like pop, reggae, calypso etc? In
my mind I can't think of any reason God would be displeased
with it... I am a very open minded person and would very
much appreciate information on this... and If possible
scripture references that would help me to understand a
position on this as I am a musician but foremost a Christian
and would prefer not to be in error.”
I am
excited about answering him mainly because of his statement
“...but foremost a Christian...” Oh how we need Christians
who are “foremost a Christian!” Those who are willing,
ready, and eager to think God's thoughts instead of their
own - hating even to be spotted (soiled) by the
world. Praise the Lord and keep...

Jude 1:24-25
August 7, 2007
Dear Fellow Soldiers of the
Cross,
Grace,
mercy and peace will be with us from God the Father and from His
Son, Jesus Christ. Now we command you, brethren, in the name of
our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every
brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition
which he received of us. (2 Thessalonians 3:6)
Thank you so much for your prayers for us! Thank you for your
support of this work! We also praise the Lord for our
broadcasters who faithfully proclaim the Name of Jesus and the
mission revealed in His Name – that of saving His people from
their sins. We also praise the Lord for the authorization that
He gives us to go into all the world and preach the Gospel.
There is coming a time when it will not be as easy to carry the
banner of the Cross as it has been. Continue to pray for us as
we pray for you that we will be faithful to our duty and quick
in our obedience to His Word.
Pray earnestly that God will lead the Murphys and Steels to just
the right supporters and for their support to continue to come
in. We need their help and look forward to their fellowship. The
Steels have tentatively set early 2008 as their target for
arriving in Carriacou!
The Littles are making some progress on their house project.
Please continue to pray for the finances to complete it soon.
They have some materials on hand but need the Lord to supply
some needs to keep going. Pray for strength as they do most of
the work themselves with some volunteer help.
We've
had two good helpers this summer. Andrae Jackson has now gone to
Grenada for camp. After camp she will be returning home to St.
Vincent. We really enjoyed having her with us for a few weeks
and our own Skitter Jones all summer. Both girls are attending
the Baptist Bible College of the Caribbean in St. Vincent. We
appreciate all these young ladies did to help out here at the
station. Some of you have heard their voices on Captain's Kids!
The rest of us on the staff are doing well by God's grace. We
still have a problem with our main air conditioner. Pray that it
will be fixed soon. We are busy working on various projects both
at home and at the station. This is the hurricane season. We
have had some good rains so far but still need much more –
preferably not with too much wind!
There is a lot of talk of war and fighting "in the wind" these
days. There is also a lot of talk of peace. However, the wars
are not being fought according to the “rules” and the peace
talks are based on the wind of worldly wisdom and false
promises. We look forward to the return of the Prince of Peace
to rule with righteousness.
May I ask you a question? Do you think it would it be right for
someone to withdraw fellowship from a fellow Christian whose
only “crime” is being lazy and not willing to work? Or do you
think it would be better to develop a program to encourage lazy
people to be more productive with some nice incentives? This
morning I read those stark words at the end of the book of
Judges which stand as an accurate description of most of the
people in the world today – sadly, including very many
Christians. “In those days there was no king in Israel: every
man did that which was right in his own eyes.” The scripture I
started this letter with states the principle with which the
Apostle Paul makes the laziness of a fellow Christian a reason
for withdrawing from fellowshipping with him. How much more
should we as disciples of Christ withdraw from those who are
“walking disorderly” (not according to Scriptural rules) by
compromising their testimony, standards, the “ancient landmarks”
and even The Truth in order to obtain a “wider ministry.” God
has given us the “rules of engagement” in His Word. That is what
“the traditions” are that we have received from the Apostles.
Obedience is the greatest virtue of a soldier and is vital to
the accomplishment of the goals of our Commander in Chief. We
must be faithful in...

from a couple in Trinidad... We are deeply indebted to
you all for making every day a blessing with the Harbour Light.
What peace it is not having to listen to our local garbage in
music as well as talk programs and to hear the reassurances from
the Word of God to help us face the challenges and pressures of
this modern, sinful world. Please accept our humble gift of
thanks for your faithful ministry.
from Barbados... Dear Partners in Christ. Thank
you for your gift in sending us the taped sermon. My family and
I have been blessed tremendously by the Harbour Light radio and
the unchanging Gospel of Christ Jesus. As we continue to pray on
a daily basis for the work of the Gospel, we are more than
convinced that this station is reaching and blessing the hearts
of many. Once again, thank you all! And may the Good News be
spread.
from Trinidad... The Harbour Light is on my prayer
list... which continues to be a "Voice" proclaiming Truth over
the airwaves which do not have the glamour of a TV viewing, yet
the Word of God goes forth with power and conviction.
Personally, I have come to a better understanding of a full and
free salvation, thereby praying the prayer of total surrender to
the Lord Jesus Christ as my Saviour. In these perilous times,
this beacon of Light provides uplifting songs throughout the day
untainted by commercials.
from Barbados... I never cease to thank God for
the Harbour Light who plays such God honouring music, Bible
studies and sermons that uplift Christians and give
encouragement in these dark days. May God continue to bless you
all and provide for every need. I am praying for you all and for
souls to be saved.
from Florida... Greetings in our Lord's great
name. Just returned from the land of my birth, Barbados, where I
spent my summer vacation. I'm a public school teacher in Miami,
Florida. I listened to your radio broadcasts daily while in
B'dos. I enjoyed them and learned much as well.
from England... Found you whilst searching on the
net. Looks a lovely place - everyone is nicely dressed in the
photos. Listened to the sermon - very comforting indeed! Pity my
husband isn't near; he could sort the generator out for you.
Please pray for England; the Lord is being pushed out and our
society now reflects the result. We are losing our guidance.
from Asia... Hello, I am from the West Indies but
now I live in Asia. I used to listen to The Harbour Light
station on AM radio in the past but after I came to Asia I
couldn't pick it up on radio. So I couldn't listen to it for a
long time. I am happy I can receive it now by internet. I always
liked the closing song.
Broadcaster Notes:
The broadcaster notes are in the form of a listener's comments.
She says "I note with great delight that Pastor Gordon Dickson
has now been granted two daily programmes and that the period of
Pastor Cairns programme has been extended. You certainly keep
listeners refreshed and as indicated in Proverbs 11:25. You
cannot refresh others without yourself being refreshed." (How
true!) Listen at 7:45AM and 8PM for Pastor Dickson and at
10:30AM for Pastor Cairns.

Dear Citizens of
Heaven,
Greetings in the Name
of the LORD, Jesus Christ our soon-coming Saviour. I
send thee to open their eyes, and to turn them from
darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God,
that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and
inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith
that is in me.
I
have just returned from the 10th Annual
Lighthouse Baptist Fellowship Conference in Barbados.
Pastor Tony Ward and the sweet folks at Grace Baptist
Church hosted the conference again this year. The timely
theme of the conference was “Remove Not The Ancient
Landmark.” It was a refreshing week of good preaching
and good fellowship. I recorded the preaching
sessions and we will be using them on the air in
the near future so you can enjoy the conference as
well. In the midst of all that was going on here at the
station prior to the conference, I failed to announce
the conference. Please
forgive me for that!
Praise the Lord, the
main generator is back on line and working well. We
really enjoyed having the Brandeberrys with us and are
thankful to Brother & Sister Brandeberry for all they
did while they were here. Please continue to pray for
our “ailing” equipment. The main air conditioner is
still not running and sometime on Saturday our main
network storage drive crashed leaving me scrambling a
bit. Some of it is stored in other places but we have
our work cut out for us replacing what was lost.
This just
demonstrates again our need for the Murphys to get here
as soon as possible so Brother Pat can take over the
computers and network. Please pray that God will give
them safety as they soon
launch out on full time deputation and that their
full support will come in quickly. They have about 50%
of what they need.
Pray also for the Steels. They are also at about
50% support level. We enjoyed having them here for a
week. It has served to peak their desire to come and has
given them a vision of how God is going to use them
here. What will we do
with the extra help? Don't worry, it won't be hard
to figure out!
Thank you for your
prayers for us as we fulfill the ministry God has sent
us here to do for His glory...

Dear fellow Branches,
Grace and peace be
multiplied to you from God our Father and our Lord, Jesus
Christ. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the
branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the
vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.
John 15:4
We
are still struggling with a couple of equipment failures
although we are “gaining on it,” as John would say. We are
still waiting for parts to repair the FM transmitter.
Please pray that those parts will arrive in the next day or
two. They are a week overdue now. Our main air conditioner
was down for about two weeks while we waited for parts. The
parts for the main generator finally arrived and John has
installed them but the engine is still not running right.
Pray for John as he continues to troubleshoot the main
engine as well as the voltage control module in the standby
generator to find and correct their problems. Our main
generator is due for a scheduled maintenance “overhaul” and
the Lord has provided the funds and the mechanic to do this
job. (Our friend Peter who rebuilt the standby generator
engine is no longer on the island.)
The price of fuel has taken a significant rise once again.
The Lord is able to glorify Himself by providing the extra
funds needed to continue His work. Please pray to that end!
We are looking forward to
having Harold and
Kelly Brandeberry here later this month for a short term
mission trip. Herald will be doing the engine work on our
main generator.
John & Sharon Steel will
also be coming this month for a short “vision” trip. They
will be seeing first hand all the aspects of the ministry
here as well as assessing their needs for moving here. Pray
for safety as they travel and for their support to be raised
soon.
I spoke to Pat Murphy last
evening and he and Janice are busy getting their “home on
wheels” ready for full time deputation. Continue to pray
for them that the rest of their support will come in
quickly.
You can follow the progress
of the Steels and Murphys support and see additional
information about them at the website of our mission board www.everlastingarms.org.
A young lady from the
Baptist Bible College in St. Vincent will be coming for the
month of July to intern here at the radio station. Pray for
Andrae's passport to be completed soon.
There
is a lot of necessary busyness in God's work in order to get
the job done but in all our busyness we don't want to forget
that we are branches and as such we must maintain that vital
connection with our Vine, the Lord Jesus Christ. Our
busyness is not the fruit that glorifies God; it is the
spiritual things that happen as a result that brings Him
glory. That can only happen as we abide in Him and He in
us. We are responsible for both aspects of
abiding! He abides in us by our faithful intake of His Word
and we abide in Him by our faithful obedience to the
specific statements or commands we discover in His Word.
Many of the commands found in His Word are not popular to
obey today even among Christians. Nevertheless, we prove
our love as His disciples by our willing
submission to Him even in little things. It fills us
full of joy to be here obediently...

Dear Christian Friends,
Grace to you and peace from God our
Father and from our soon-coming Saviour, Jesus Christ!
Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking
after those things which are coming on the earth: for the
powers of heaven shall be shaken.
And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a
cloud with power and great glory. (Luke 21:26-27)
“Mama C” has returned
safely! Continue to
pray for her as she gets caught up on all the bookkeeping
work here at the station as well as in her own office.
My wife Sharlene and I
visited the Baptist Bible College of the Caribbean on the
occasion of their 50th anniversary, homecoming and
graduation.
We felt right at home with these dear saints of God - the
faculty, students and graduates – many of whom we have known
for years already.
The Lord has blessed the school greatly with a beautiful
campus and godly faculty.
The Lord has blessed us
with another couple whom He is sending to join the staff of
the Harbour Light in the near future.
They are John and Sharon Steel.
Please pray for them as they begin their deputation
ministry to raise their support.
They are already off to a fantastic start!
Continue to pray for the
Murphy's that their support will come in so they can set a
departure date.
They are praising the Lord for some new supporters!
The
Littles have begun the construction of their home in Mt.
Pleasant! The Lord
provided the “earnest” and by faith they have begun.
Please pray with us that they will be able to
continue working until the house is done.
The house they presently rent is more than 50 years
old and is becoming unsafe.
Thank you for praying for this project!
We
have recently been experiencing some difficulties with our
power plant here at the Harbour Light.
One generator unit has had an intermittent electrical
fault for months.
The other one suffered from “operator error.”
While attempting to bleed the high pressure lines, I
backed the throttle control out too far and it somehow
became internally locked in the idle position.
John had to remove the injector pump and send it off
to be repaired.
Meanwhile he was working on the other unit and, praise the
Lord, identified the source of our intermittent problem!
We had some
“ups and downs” for a few
days until John solved the problem - for now.
We may need to replace the ($600) defective voltage
regulator some time soon.
Pray that the injector pump will be returned to us
soon and that we will be able to source a less expensive
voltage regulator if it is
needed.
We have all been feeling
a little weary these days for some reason – weary in the
work but not of it!
Pray for our strength to increase and our hearts to be
revived as the scripture promises in Isaiah 40:29.
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have
no might he increaseth strength. We need God's power so
we can continue...

Greetings in
the Name of our coming Saviour and King, the Lord Jesus Christ.
“Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the
gift bestowed upon us by
the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our
behalf.” (2 Corinthians
1:11)
“Ye
also helping...” Thank you so much for your help!
The Harbour Light has been helped by so many people from
so many places and in so many ways.
If it were not for this help we could not do this work.
“Together...” Thank you for your fellowship!
It takes people working together to get things done.
No one can do very much by himself.
Together we can accomplish the Great Commission – "go
ye into all the world!"
“By prayer...” Thank you for praying!
The most important work that people can do together is to
pray. Jesus said that
we must pray unceasingly!
By prayer we move the hand of God. God answers prayer!
“For us...”
Thank you for thinking of us!
When we pray we must call people by name if at all
possible. Specific
praying brings specific answers.
Jesus thanked His Father for hearing Him and he said
Lazarus, come forth.
And he came forth!
“That for the gift bestowed upon us...”
Thank you for the very precious gifts of your support,
help, fellowship, and prayer!
“By the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on
our behalf.”
To God be the Glory!
When God's people join together to do God's work God's
way God's work gets done and many will spontaneously give glory
to God for what He is doing!
May the Lord when He comes find us faithfully...

Staff News:
John & Karen
McPherson arrived back in Carriacou just before the new
year. They have been
busy getting their respective areas of responsibility back in
order. Karen
in programme scheduling/logging and John in maintenance.
John also headed up a Men for Missions work team shortly
after they arrived. The
team was working to finish the basement of the mission house in
preparation for the arrival of the Murphy's sometime in the next
year, Lord willing. Another
team is planning to come in July to finish the basement.
Pat and Janice Murphy will
soon be able to go out on full-time deputation.
They have a motor home nearly ready to be their “home”
for the final months of deputation.
Pray that God will burden just the right people and
churches to support them so they can come soon. We need them!!
“Mama C”
(Arlene Cornelius) will be returning home to Carriacou this
month! She has enjoyed
a wonderful furlough.
The Lord has given her safety over the
many miles that she has traveled.
The Lord provided godly ladies
to escort her on her trips out of the Greenville area. She was
able to visit many supporting churches, family and friends. Mom
plans to arrive home in
Carriacou on the 18th.
Please pray for her as she packs and travels.
The Louis family is enjoying
the small bus that the Lord provided for them late last year.
They have used it to help out with church pickup and for
their home Bible study. Linus also uses it to help with staff
transportation.
The Little family is praising the Lord for His provision
to start the construction of a home for their family on land
that was given to them by a Christian lady in New York.
The house they are currently living in is in very bad
condition. Please pray
that the Lord will continue to supply this need so they won't
have to stop until it's done!
The Harbour Light Christian Academy will have to find
larger facilities for the 2007-8 school year.
Please pray that adequate facilities will be found soon.

From St. Vincent...
Dear beloved friends and staff of the
beloved Harbour Light station. Greetings in the precious name of

May the Lord bless the station and to provide the
necessary need to keep it open.
From Tobago...Thank you for sending me the
requested messages from time to time – I do appreciate this!
Congratulations on your programming. The music is very
beautiful. I am glad that we still have one hour of classics at
mid-day. The stories,
drama and messages from Pastor Gordon Dickson could be longer –
Glimpses of Calvary is great!
Then there is St. Clair Archibald, Ron Hood, J. Bennett
Collins, Mark Minnick – my favorites.
I pray for your guidance and protection and trust that
many throughout the West Indies listen and gain spiritual
upliftment through the programmes.
God bless you and keep you always.
From Grenada... Thank you so much for enriching
our lives spiritually.
Please accept this gift.
May God's blessings be with you always. I am always

From Grenada... Just sending
this gift to say thank you for the kind of music and
programmes that brings me inner peace on early mornings.
From Barbados... Dearly Beloved in the Lord, Most
holy, loving and sincere Christian greetings and blessings in
the Lord from Barbados.
Grace, mercy and peace be greatly multiplied unto you and
yours. Quite recently I
started listening to your wonderful radio station. I must
honestly say that I thoroughly enjoy all of your broadcasters.
There are two very outstanding things I admire and
appreciate 1) no women preachers and 2) the speakers are all
very sound in their ministry and no shouting to get over their
points. Keep up the good work!
From Trinidad... Thank you,
Harbour Light. Your
music and programmes are a true source of blessing and comfort
to me. I say a big
thank you to all of you who work at the radio station.
You are dependable and I can rely on you to keep me in
tune and connected to God's kingdom.
From Barbados... What a privilege and a blessing
it is to be able to listen to the Harbour Light.
It sure gives me great encouragement and joy to be able
to listen with the assurance that God's name is lifted up at all
times. In these days
when at times you listen to these so-called Christian stations
you can't tell the difference between the secular ones.
I thank God for you all.
May He continue to bless the station and all who are
involved in the day to day operations. Enclosed
is my gift. Please pray for my family...
From St.
Vincent... I am a daily listener to your programmes.
This station is truly helpful to me in my relationship
with the Lord. I pray
that God will bless all who have come together to make it
possible.
From Carriacou... Continue to be faithful in
giving out the Lord's word that we might hear and grow in the
Lord and that the lost might see their need of the Saviour.
Keep up the high standards of programming that you put on
the air. The Lord bless
you.
From Trinidad... I hope that the enclosed gift
would help in some small way to support your very treasured
ministry. Your letters
are so warm – like the Light that the HLW sends into our homes
through the airwaves throughout the year.
From a “Kayak” studying in Mexico...
hearing you guys everyday is such a wonderful
blessing!! It feels so much like home and of course, I receive
great encouragement from the Word.
And the music!! Jump high, jump low, no contemporary
Christian song could compare to the wonderful hymns aired on the
Harbour Light. I commend Bro. Randy for taking such a firm stand
on what is acceptable Christian music and though many people may
say that this whole matter of music is up to one's personal
convictions, Bro.
Randy can't go wrong with his.
From Virginia... Hi there,
I'm an a believer in Jesus from Australia currently
staying overnight by myself in a hotel in Norton Virginia. I'm
in America on business. I'm listening to your output live on my
laptop right now. I love your station, your programming and
everything you stand for. I've read a lot of stuff on your web
site. I would regard myself as quite discerning. I've done a lot
of media work over the years. I would appreciate prayer because
I can't sleep (could be partly due to jet lag), have a sore
stomach and I feel a bit homesick!
From Florida...
Dear Christian Friends, I am a Bajan. I listened to the
Harbour Light today in the USA on line. Praise God for
technology. I had not heard it for four years. But a Grenadian
brother told me yesterday after Breaking of Bread that I could
access it on line. I used to listen to the Harbour Lights (I
called it 1400 AM) regularly on mornings at home, and whenever I
was in my car i.e. from about 6;15 – 9 AM or 10 AM. The first
day, I accidentally tuned into the harbour lights early in the
90’s I was in a back slidden condition. I happened to tune in
when Jesse Boyd was teaching. I immediately said "I know that
voice. I know that voice" But I couldn’t remember who it was and
where it was I had heard it, because over 20 years had passed.
When the program was ended, I learned it was Mr Boyd. I felt
very ashamed of myself. Mr Boyd had taught me in Sunday School
and had acted as pastor of the Baptist church where I was
disciple in Barbados for a month or so in the early 70’s. I was
then a total novitiate. While a teacher at BJU, he had come to
Barbados every year for about 4 years in the summer for three
months each time, and had conducted SUMMER INSTITUTE OF BIBLE
for three hours on each of three nights per week –the same
college classes he taught at BJU. Hearing him teach again did a
lot to turn me around. Now that I have access to HLW again, I am
looking forward to hearing all the great teachers again, plus
my Brethren friends like Archie Carew, Willie Ashby, Dalmar, and
Lionel Weekes. Keep up the great work. The level of Bible
Teaching on HWL is tops!! The science, and the music is great
too. Maintain your great standards especially on music. God's
richest blessings!

Dear Bride of Christ,
Greetings
in the Name of the Lamb of God, the Lord Jesus Christ.
"Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for
the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself
ready. It was given to her
to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and
clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.”
(Rev. 19:7-8)
This year we plan to work on some much needed maintenance of the
physical plant. Our
buildings are now 17 years old and are mostly of steel
construction. Since we are
on the windward coast we constantly fight rust on the exterior of
the buildings. The interior
is paneled wood with a durable carpet on the floor.
We have had some trouble with termites invading our interior
walls and the carpet is badly worn in many places.
There is an unfinished retaining wall behind the office and
studio buildings which we are planning to finish this year as well.
Praise the Lord for His provision for that project!
Our generators are also showing their age.
We are having to replace the radiators on both engines.
Our local listeners have noticed occasional short breaks in
transmission due to the engine shutting down because of low
coolant. We apologize for
that! Our English friend,
Peter Thurley, is back again doing some routine work on another one
of our generator engines.
“Mama
C” (Arlene Cornelius) is doing well in the USA.
She and my sister, Becky, are back in Greenville now after
saying “so long” to my Aunt Ann in Chicago.
Mom and Janice Murphy will be taking a short course together
at Bob Jones University this month to learn the software program
“Access” so our office will be more efficient.
Mom will leave the USA to return home to Carriacou on April
17. We are looking forward
to having her back! Thank
you for praying for her as she has traveled many miles visiting
supporting churches, individuals and family.
She only has a couple of short trips left to make.
The Murphy's support is increasing.
Lord willing they will be here by this time next year!
Will you pray for the Lord of the harvest to send the Murphys
into this field to help us?
Pray for good and fruitful contacts as they continue their
deputation ministry.
We praise the Lord for a good start on the year 2007.
We are grateful to each one who has called or written.
We praise the Lord with you that the programming is blessing
your life. We will be
making some programming changes in the near future the biggest of
which will involve “Let the Bible Speak” with Alan Cairns.
They have begun a 30 minute daily format instead of the 15
minute daily. A broadcast
time adjustment will be necessary to accommodate this as well as
some rearranging of other programs.
It is exciting to look around and realize that the time of The
Marriage Supper is fast approaching.
We as the bride of Christ are to be busy making ourselves
ready for His glory! The
Lamb – our Redeemer – has provided us with the materials we need to
make the fine linen of righteous deeds – bright and clean!
That brings great glory to Him!
One of those righteous deeds is...

Dear fellow Citizens of
Heaven,
Grace to you and peace from
God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ! “Of the sons of
Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what
Israel should do, their chiefs were two
hundred; and all their kinsmen were at their command.” (1Chronicles
12:32)
We
were blessed last month with the fellowship and labour of the 13
member Men for Missions work team led by Wayne and Jane Camfield.
They accomplished a lot toward finishing the basement of the mission
house in preparation for the arrival of the Murphys. All but two had
been here before on work teams. We are deeply grateful to them for
coming again and again to help us! It will require another team to
get the basement completely ready for the Murphys to move in. We
appreciate the efforts of our engineer, John McPherson, in
coordinating materials and logistics for the teams. The team effort
is vital in that they are able to accomplish a lot in a short time
which not only saves money and time but it takes a tremendous load
off of us so we can stay concentrated on what the Lord has called us
here to do – spreading the WORD! It also gives an opportunity for
many believers to exercise their gifts and to be a direct part of
God's work in a foreign country. A photo journal can be viewed
right here by clicking on “Teams”
(below left).
Recently my father's sister,
Ann Cornelius, went to be with the Lord after a short bout with
cancer. She had worked at Pacific Garden Mission for nearly 50
years! She was involved in the processing of donations and Bible
correspondence courses. She provided the music – both singing and
playing – for the noon meetings at PGM. She also played the piano
for a nursing home outreach and the Spanish services at her home
church. The Lord made it possible for my mother and sister to be
there with her when she passed away. I'm sure there was joy in
Heaven as that entire family was reunited around the throne of God!
It was 10 years ago today that my father, Rolen Cornelius, went to
be with the Lord.
We greatly appreciate so many
listeners who have not only written or called with their
encouragement but who have supported the Harbour Light with their
sacrificial gifts these many years. The Lord has truly blessed us
with a very responsive listenership as well as faithful supporters
abroad. A big “Thank You!” to each one of you who contributes to
keep the Harbour Light on the air. We are confident that the Lord
will continue to provide through His people – both in the listening
area and beyond – as long as He desires for this radio ministry to
continue. A listener here in Carriacou writes “The Lord has
indeed blessed you in allowing you to broadcast these fifteen years.
As long as he tarries and He so desires, the ministry will continue
on. Continue to be faithful in giving out the Lord's Word so that
the lost might see their need for the Saviour and turn to Him. Keep
up the high standard of programming that you put on the air.” A
listener in Trinidad writes “It's always a joyful thing to hear
from you and all at the Harbour Light. Your letters are so warm –
like the Light that Harbour Light sends to our homes through the
airwaves throughout the year. I hope that the enclosed contribution
will help in some small way to support your very treasured
ministry!”
There is a lot of “heart” in
Christianity today but very little “mind.” The men of Issachar had a
heart for Israel but they did not let that interfere with their
thinking. They understood their times and knew what Israel should
do. Pray for us that God will give His wisdom to discern the times
to know what to do to most effectively keep on...

Dear

“Mama

throughout the southern states. Continue to pray for safety for her
and her traveling companion (and former missionary at CRL in
Antigua), Rita Covalt. The Lord has provided a lady to travel with
my mother each trip she has made. We praise the Lord for the safe
arrival of the McPherson’s! They are already “in the thick of it.”
In addition to their regular responsibilities, Karen is helping in
the office with the book-keeping and John busy getting ready for the
Men for Missions team who, Lord willing will arrive tomorrow. The
team will be working to finish the basement of the mission house in
preparation for the arrival of the Murphy’s. Pray earnestly that
their support will come in soon. The rest of us are well, thank the
Lord. Thank you for your prayers for us and support for this work.
God bless you!
As I
consider the year 2007, I am greatly concerned, but excited, and
comforted. I’m concerned because of the fast-rising tidal wave of
worldliness and compromise that is sweeping over so many of my
brothers and sisters in Christ. “Ancient landmarks” are being
removed. One of the most powerful tools of the enemy driving this
wave is the music that Satan has cleverly and patiently squeezed
into nearly every facet of life on this planet – including the
church and Christian homes! Rock music has become a “one world
culture” not just of the ungodly but also of many professing
Christians! Throughout history, Satan has used music effectively to
turn people from the Truth to worshiping idols. There is no doubt
that he is preparing the world through this mind altering music to
fall down and worship the beast shortly after he is revealed during
the “tribulation” period. I am excited because the coming of the
Lord draws near! However, since the Bible teaches us that things
will get much worse before they get much better, it is comforting to
know that no matter how bad it gets, God will not forsake His own.
He will rescue us in the nick of time!
So to
those who are wrapped in the love of God the Father and kept for
Jesus Christ, may mercy, peace and love be lavished upon you all
year long and until He comes again!

Dear Christian Friends,
The people that walked in darkness have seen a great
light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them
hath the light shined. Isaiah
9:2
Christmas greetings from Carriacou! Fifteen years ago today
we began “Spreading the WORD” here in Carriacou. But, that is
not really where it all began! It all began back in the
1950's when my
father, Rolen Cornelius, boarded a ship in New York Harbour bound
for Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa. He was going to work at
ELWA,
a new and probably the first Christian radio station in Africa.
There he served the Lord with my mother (Arlene) for 16 years and
there my brothers and sister and I were born. In the early 70’s the
Lord led our family to Antigua where my parents headed up the
building of the Caribbean Radio Lighthouse. In the late 80’s the
Lord called my parents and my new
family to begin another radio work in the Windwards. On
December 1, 1991 the Harbour Light began regularly scheduled
programming! The first song to be played was “Go Tell It on the
Mountain.” You can read about our first 10 years by visiting our
web site or requesting the pamphlet.
The Lord has blessed the Harbour Light both materially and
spiritually, not because of who we are but because of
Whose we are and what He is doing through the
programmes. This year we have again heard from hundreds of
listeners. Their expressions of how God is working in their lives
through the programming are such a joy to read. Many have been
saved. Thousands have grown in the Lord; many have dedicated their
life to the Lord. Some have even come out of apostate
denominations! Presently, we have two Grenadian families working
along side of us missionaries. Richard & Francina Little have 4
children and Linus & Jennifer Louis have 3 children. Richard and
Linus are our main announcers but help out in a dozen or more ways.
Linus also produces a 15 minute weekly Bible teaching programme.
Richard does the “Prayer Time” programme each week. Francina works
with “Mama C” in the Children’s programming department producing
five 30 minute “Captain’s Kids” programmes each week and Jennifer
takes care of the 3000 or so students in our Bible Correspondence
School. In addition to Children’s programming, “Mama C” (currently
on furlough) manages our office. John McPherson is the station
engineer and his wife, Karen, is our “weatherlady” and takes care of
most of the programming “traffic.” (McPhersons are due back from
furlough this month.) My wife, Sharlene, is Headmistress of the
Harbour Light Christian Academy. She is assisted by three other
teachers. The 16 students are made up mostly of Harbour Light staff
children.
Praise the Lord for His faithfulness during
these past 15 years!! But where would we be without your
prayers and support!? Thank you for your faithfulness!
Please continue to pray earnestly that God will be glorified through
His Word. Pray that God will provide for the day to day
operations. Pray that we will keep the programming “clean” and
clear. Pray for us that God will protect us from evil and the evil
one; that God will destroy any work of the enemy to destroy this
testimony. Pray that we will maintain a growing likeness to our
Lord; that we will be faithful in our life, right in our heart and
surrendered to Him in everything.
From all of us here at the Harbour Light we wish you a
Merry Christmas and God’s best for the New Year!

from
Trinidad... Your radio ministry is a tremendous source of
blessing and encouragement to my family and me. Our radio dials are
always set on AM1400. My children come home from school anxious to
hear the continuation of the 3:45pm “story time.” They also enjoy
“Mr. Bill” and the many other programs for children. Being at home,
I enjoy your daytime devotional messages, preaching, and sacred
music. I learn many heart warming songs which I sing in Church with
my family or with other individuals. They are indeed a great
blessing to us all. We also enjoy reading your news letter and
learning about all you are doing. We thank God for all of you and
pray that you will continue faithfully proclaiming God's pure Word
across the Caribbean. There is no other station we would rather be
tuned in to. You fill the day with a “touch of Heaven” and for this
we are eternally grateful. May God continue to bless and keep you.
Please accept this heartfelt gift of thanks.
from Barbados...
Dear Brethren, I greet you all in the blessed name of our great God
and Saviour and our any moment King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Your
messages are so vital and refreshing as the days come and go,
especially when we are living at a time we are hearing so much
hogwash and false doctrine all around today, that it makes our heart
sad and sick. We thank God for Harbour Light where we hear the true
Word and doctrine of God as the days come and go. Keep the good work
up and may God bless you all. Great rewards await you all for the
good work of the Lord.
from Grenada... I am praying and trusting in the Almighty
God that all the needs of the Harbour Light will be met – including
the missionaries. I am so happy to know so many people are listening
to the Harbour Light. It was a blessed day when Papa C founded the
Harbour Light. Thank God for Brother Randy and family and all the
other staff members and families. I pray God that the station will
remain on the air til Jesus comes again. There is so much spiritual
food for the soul.

Harbour Light this morning on-line. May God continue to bless your

from England...After
phoning you last week and asking you how I could listen to Harbour
Light radio, I have listened to it every day since and it is a
pleasure that when I am working I can listen to such a wonderful
radio station. I have recommended
the station to at least two others and they are listening to the
station. I cannot explain how relaxing it is to listen to such a
station. May I say God bless every member of the staff and I will
remember every one in my prayers.

Dear Praying Friends:
Greetings
in the Name of our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ!
We
are praising the Lord for the wonderful way He works. Let me
explain. For quite a while, one of our generators was in need of
being rebuilt. We just did not have the time or expertise to do the
job ourselves. (It
is still more economical for us to maintain our own power plant.)
When Pastor Walker came, he was willing to try since he has
some automotive experience but the Lord used another person in mind
to do the work. Peter Thurly is from England but lives on a yacht
and travels up and down the Caribbean. He came out to the station
some time back on his birthday to visit the station and to give a
gift because of the blessing he receives listening to the Harbour
Light in his boat. He asked about a good church to attend in
Carriacou – one where the music was conservative. I was pleased to
tell him about Open Door Baptist Church where we attend. He came the
very next Sunday. Several services later, he joined Pastor Walker,
Pat Murphy and I talking about rebuilding the generator engine. He
said he could do the work and offered to donate his time! We learned
that he has worked in this profession for many years. Parts were
ordered but did not arrive in time for Pat to be here for putting
the engine back together. Peter worked nearly single handedly and
several days later we helped him transport the engine back to the
generator building. It is now running online and is working hard to
provide the power to keep the Light shining!
I recently had an “email conversation”
with some Christian (?)
folks who wanted to put their music on the Harbour Light. I only
listened to the first five
seconds of it and had to cut it off – it sounded like a “disco!”
It reminded me again of the delusion that has taken hold of so many
professing Christians – could it be the beginning of what was
prophesied? I'll share with you a short excerpt from my lengthy
response to her. I
was born in Africa at the edge of the jungle. My father used to
take me into the jungle from time to time when he would go to
minister to the tribes people "up country." There we would hear
them playing the "devil drums" and play their music which was done
to "call the evil spirits." Some American missionary's children
came to Africa bringing some music they called "Contemporary
Christian Music." The tribes people heard them playing it in the
house and came to the parents and asked them this question. "Why
are YOUR children calling the evil spirits?!" The Bible says that in
the last days, God will send a strong delusion to those who refuse
to believe the truth. The delusion will be a Satanic lie but those
who believe it will not know until it is too late.
